Broward County invites local businesses to tap into World Cup 2026 opportunities

Tamarac, Florida – As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ approaches, Broward County is inviting businesses in South Florida to a virtual briefing where they can learn about a rare combination of economic opportunities. The event called “Doing Business with FIFA World Cup 2026™” will take place on Tuesday, June 24, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. CEST. It is free to attend.

The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) is hosting an online session to help local business owners, vendors, and service providers learn more about what the world tournament could mean for business in the area. Attendees will learn important things about how to set oneself up for success during one of the biggest sports events in the world.

The briefing will go into detail about how the World Cup is projected to affect the local and regional economy, with an emphasis on which industries are likely to benefit. As preparations for the tournament get more serious, a wide range of industries, from hospitality and transportation to technology and event services, may find new opportunities.

The event will not only address areas where growth is possible, but it will also talk about possible collaboration models and ways to work together. Officials are encouraging early participation and pointing out that businesses of all sizes, especially those run by women and minorities, can help satisfy the World Cup’s high logistical and commercial needs.
