Miami, Florida – A Miami man has been sentenced to life in prison for a series of crimes including the murder of a man in aid of racketeering, assaulting a federal law enforcement officer, multiple counts of discharging a firearm in furtherance of violent crime, possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon, access device fraud, and aggravated identity theft. The sentencing includes five years of supervised release.
Details of the Crimes
On April 28, 2020, Geno St. Flerose, a member of the “Everybody Eats” gang, known as “EBE,” pursued a victim for over four blocks before fatally shooting him.
St. Flerose fired 13 rounds into the victim’s car, striking him three times. Although paramedics transported the 22-year-old victim to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
On June 17, 2020, while a federal special agent was conducting surveillance in St. Flerose’s neighborhood, St. Flerose noticed the agent’s car. He ran into the street and fired multiple rounds at the vehicle. Although the shots penetrated the car, the agent was not struck.

Law enforcement later discovered hundreds of individuals’ personal information stored on St. Flerose’s phone.
The Investigation and Sentencing
U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe of the Southern District of Florida, FBI Miami Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey B. Veltri, and U.S. Secret Service (USSS) Miami Special Agent in Charge Rafael Barros announced the sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom.
The FBI Miami and USSS Miami led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Yara Dodin prosecuted the case, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Mitchell Hyman managed asset forfeiture.
